A Jewel in the Desert

You can feel really good about riding here because first and foremost the owner Lee takes such great care of his horses, they are treated with dignity. Plus Lee has an incredible wealth of knowledge about horses, the west and his stories you won’t want to miss. The wranglers are curtious and healthful too. It’s a serene place to get away from the city hang out with burros and other sweet animals.

Love, Love, Love!

One of the most amazing experiences for both myself and my kids. Staff taught my kids the basics of horseback riding to prepare them. During the ride, our guide was incredibly informational about the area, history and species.

Was absolutely a wonderful time!

A Great Experience

I took my friend from out of town and her 5 year old daughter on the sunset ride. It was a great experience and the guides were very good with her 5 year old daughter that had never ridden. We had no problems with our reservation and everyone was so nice start to finish. I will def be back and highly recommend this place.

I definitely recommend this group for trail rides!

Went on the sunset trail ride as part of a big group to celebrate my sister-in-law’s graduation. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Our guide, Donna, was very proactive in checking on the group and giving instructions when needed. All of our horses had sweet temperaments, and the other animals (dogs, goats, etc) were fun to interact with. They also rescue and rehabilitate horses, which is awesome.

Definitely 5 Stars

Unplug and go for a ride through the desert. Our 8 year old son declared the trip “awesome,” so it doesn’t get much better than that. Thank you to David, and Reno, (who is one of the funniest horses I’ve ever met, and provided the comic relief).

Love this place!

We just went on a sunset ride today and it was wonderful. My 6 year old son was riding a horse for the first time and he had such a great experience thanks to the sweet horse “Whiskey.” The trail guide was so kind and knowledgeable and the views were breathtaking!—love this place will surely be back for another adventure.

MUST GO!

My son and I went on the early morning 1.5 hour ride. The scenery is amazing! We saw a dear! The weather was warm but perfect because the ride was early enough that we didn't have to experience any sweltering temperatures. Prescott was a great guide. I'd definitely return to experience the sunset ride!

Best Adventure!

An amazing time was had with the professional, fun, and caring staff at Spur Cross. The scenery is gorgeous and the animals are loving. You’ll be thankful you took time out of your busy schedule for a little R&R.

Sunset Ride

Relaxing and peaceful. An experience that helped get the family in one place before heading back east to hockey, school, and other commitments. The entire staff was excellent. Our guide , Boots, was very pleasant and completely in control of the ride as most of us are novice riders. Next time, longer ride event. The scenery is stunning.

2 Hour Horseback Ride

Horseback riding at Spur Cross was the coolest experience I have ever had. the employees are welcoming, knowledgeable, and wanted to help in any way they can. I would highly recommend Spur Cross to all kinds of riders, beginners and experts. Great place and very well tempered horses.

Great Day

Took my 7 year old daughter for getting a good report card. She's been wanting to ride a horse for a long time. The cowboys were great and the horses gentle. We had a good time and highly recommend Spur Cross. Will definitely be back!

Such a great time! The staff/guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and made everybody feel at ease. We saw so many great views and amazing scenery.

The four of us went, two were our girls age 7 & 5, and we all had a blast! Kids were on their own horses and Cindy our handler made them feel so comfortable and relaxed. She was the best! Would definitely come back again!
