We are considered an essential business and are open seven days a week. Practicing and abiding by safe social distancing policies.

  • Staff will wear gloves at your request

Trail Rides Through Scenic Sonoran Desert

Before your Arizona Horseback Adventures riding experience, we take the time to introduce you to your horse, including all the tips you need to know on how to direct it throughout your horseback riding journey. Our friendly, experienced cowgirls and cowboys will mount you up on one of our 50 beautiful, gentle trail riding horses, some of which are rescues.

If horse trail riding is new to you, we feel that you’ll be comfortable and confident on your Cave Creek horseback riding experience. Ticket price includes Spur Cross Conservation entrance fee.

FUN FACT!


Did you know the saguaro cactus flower is the state flower of Arizona, and the saguaro doesn’t grow its first arm until around 50 years of age? Just one of the many facts you will learn about the desert on this ride.

Enjoy the beautiful and relaxing nature of the desert!

1 Hour Horseback Ride

Arizona horseback riding is our specialty, so join us on our 1 Hour Horseback Ride and treat yourself to the ride of your dreams in the foothills of the Sonoran Desert. Your leader will take you to see a great variety of plants native to the region, from the pincushion and hedgehog cactus, prickly pear, barrel cactus, ocotillo, mesquite, palo verde, to the giant saguaro cactus.

Spur Cross

1.5 Hour Horseback Ride

Our 1.5 hour trail ride takes you through the Valley of Saguaros, by an old prospector’s claim, up and down some hills with amazing views and it’s perfect for beginners! You will also have the opportunity to spot local wildlife, including coyotes, javalina, bobcat, mule deer, tarantula, desert iguana, jackrabbit, gila monster and other reptiles as well.

Come explore the beautiful outdoors and the Tonto National Forest on our 2 hour trail ride. Our knowledgeable guides take you into the Sonoran Desert and the Tonto national Forest, where you will see a great variety of plants native to the region and also spot some wildlife. We promise our horseback rides will not disappoint.
